The Canadian Research Knowledge Network – Réseau canadien de documentation pour la recherche (CRKN–RCDR) revisits its strategic plan every three to five years. The CRKN 2019–2024 Strategic Plan is the first to be developed after CRKN’s merge with Canadiana.org in 2018. As such, the plan encompasses CRKN’s commitments to improving access to knowledge and to preserving and ensuring access to Canada’s digital heritage materials (CRKN 2019a). It was published in October 2019 after a comprehensive consultation process.

Le Réseau canadien de documentation pour la recherche – Canadian Research Knowledge Network (RCDR – CRKN) revoit son plan stratégique tous les trois à cinq ans. Le plan stratégique 2019-2024 du RCDR est le premier à être élaboré après la fusion du RCDR et Canadiana.org en 2018. À ce titre, le plan englobe les engagements du RCDR d’améliorer l’accès au savoir et de préserver et d’assurer l’accès aux documents du patrimoine numérique du Canada (RCDR 2019a). Il a été publié en octobre 2019 après un processus de consultation approfondi.

In February 2020, UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) released a new proposed open access policy for consultation to replace the RCUK Policy on Open Access released in 2018. The goals of the proposed policy include promoting open access (OA) and new OA publishing models and aligning OA polices across the UKRI, which comprises the UK’s seven Research Councils, Innovate UK, and Research England (UKRI 2020).
